Forbes – What is Inside Sales? The Definition of Inside Sales

For quite sometime, I’ve been getting requests to update the blog I posted on KenKrogue.com defining the inside sales industry. As of this morning, that article had over 53,000 views – it has defined what inside sales is, as an industry. I just posted on Forbes an update to my article, that went all the way to #4 of all of Forbes, that includes new developments in the industry.

I would love your thoughts.

The most basic definition of inside sales is remote sales. Perhaps more accurate definition would be professional sales done remotely.

Inside sales is NOT telemarketing. Telemarketing is scripted, single-call-close, almost always targeting a small-ticket, business-to-consumer model.
