How did we end up at the top of this list of some of the world’s fastest-growing companies? Well, we strive to participate in all of the relevant conversations in our space. We believe social selling has the power to marry marketing and sales even more closely together, which matches our company mission and culture.
We provide strategic business insights via social media that benefit our customers and our industry. In addition, we use social to maximize the value of positive news by sharing it through all available channels. It helps us connect with our prospects and customers – and understand their most pressing challenges and needs – in a real-time way.
What’s our secret sauce? First off, it’s not a secret. A little less than a year ago, XANT President and Founder Ken Krogue wrote a Forbes article titled “31 Twitter Tips: How To Use Twitter Tools And Twitter Best Practices For Business.” To date, it has racked up more than 165,000 views.
Ken’s article reveals four key strategies:
1. Strategically define your brand: Once you have identified your purpose for using Twitter, decide how you want the Twitter world to view you. Create a brand that will connect with your intended audiences and help you accomplish your goals.
2. Build your network: The best way to build your network is to regularly post targeted content that is interesting and valuable. You can also use tools like TweetAdder or Tweepi to find relevant people to add to your network.
3. Start communicating: Share high-quality content that fits your purpose. Use a good mix of original and curated content to keep things interesting.
4. Find out if it’s working: Check where you stand on social media tools like Klout.com and Wefollow.com.
The article goes into great depth, showing specific best practices and tools you can use. The best advice I can give you is to stay true to your roots. Love your industry. Care about your followers. Engage with as many people as you can and always seek to add value to the conversation.
And, of course, I’d love to connect with you on your favorite social network.
